‘High Stakes’ - Crowdfunding Video
Commissioned video for the successful crowdfunding campaign of in-production short film “High Stakes.” I was not involved in shooting, and had no footage from the proposed film itself to work with (the crew hadn’t even been locked down when I was asked to make this), so I collaborated with the director and used my best judgement to sell a movie that didn’t exist to would-be investors… and it worked!
Sweet Void Cinema - Photosensitivity Warning
This next one, also for Sweet Void, is done in the style of a 1940s/1950s spook show intermission, and lets the audience know that they can take a break when overwhelmed. It was important to me that a message like this be available, as I have family who suffer from photosensitivity problems. Plus, for the Halloween short showcase, I could think of nothing more fitting for the style!
Sweet Void Cinema - ‘No Phones’
Another made for the Halloween season. I was really keen on the film ‘Skinamarink’ at the time, and figured a parody of that film telling people to silence their phones was a no-brainer. I took great pains to recreate the style of the movie very closely - everything here is made from scratch! That is in fact my Fisher-Price toy phone!
Uh, not my DVD playing on the TV, though… I swear.
Sweet Void Cinema - Bathroom in the Back
As part of their monthly Short Film Showcase, I often produce original video interstitials for Sweet Void Cinema which play between films, providing venue information and reinforcing theatre etiquette.
This one, done faithfully in the style of the Japanese horror game “Higurashi: When They Cry,” (a personal favorite of mine) showcases the horror of needing what you cannot find.
TASBot Re:- Retrospective Series
As one of the primary editors for regular AGDQ attendee dwangoAC (and his speedrunning robot ‘TASBot’), I edited a series of retrospectives on notable runs and general speedrunning history. Following their completion, I was asked to simplify some of the major points into a series of punchy Youtube Shorts, which in some cases got more views than the original video.
